HFCAB holds AGM celebrating 75 years of advice

HFCAB has held its annual AGM this year celebrating 75 years of free advice. Our guests included managers from nearly 30 years ago reflecting on how CAB services have changed over the years. It was interesting to note that most of the challenges in delivering our service remain constant around securing future funding and yet our impact in the community is as phenomenal as ever.

We have continued to improve lives, solving every 2 problems in 3 for the last 75 years despite never having enough resources to meet demand. It was wonderful to see so many of our partners and members of the advice community at the AGM and our keynote speaker, Polly Billington, Head of Communications at Citizens Advice talked about what the future of CAB services looked like. A key focus was improving access and moving the CAB service onto a more digital platform. We particularly enjoyed not one but 2 cakes!
