In 2008 OFGEM commissioned Citizen’s Advice to carry out a series of pilot sessions known as the Energy Best Deal (“EBD”) offering information regarding citizens’ rights in the household energy supply market.
Based on the success of the EBD further national EBD campaigns have been delivered by financial capability forum members since 2009 and we continue to deliver this to our clients.
Delivery for CAHF involves running a number of sessions across West London to consumers and front line workers equipping them with the information and skills to consider changing energy supplier and become more energy efficient within their own homes.
We also run Energy Best Deal Extra advice sessions. These are individual, face-face appointments to assist with energy issues. These can include advice about energy debts and help with fuel grant charity applications, advice on switching suppliers, help with customers service complaints and other disputes with energy companies.
