Money Skills

Citizens Advice Hammersmith and Fulham has been delivering money skills activities to groups across West London for over 15 years. Our goal is to help residents to gain the skills and confidence to manage their money independently and make informed choices about financial products, before they face problems. Our Money Skills training programme is part of our 10 year LBHF contract.

Training is delivered to community groups, front line workers and in sessions open to the public, by our pool of money skills trainer volunteers. Topics include all aspects of basic money management such as budgeting, saving, borrowing, debt and bank accounts, scams, wills, benefits, Lasting Power of Attorney, energy, and many more.

The talks are designed to give people a basic understanding of the topics without going into specific details.

Talks are delivered by Money skills trainers rather than advisors and assessors, so they cannot give detailed one to one advice at the talks. Clients can be signposted to our advice services after the talks.

Refreshments provided.

If you are part of a group who might be interested in hosting a session, please contact Linda White to discuss.
